Goats perform weed control at St. Philips

Goat Green, LLC donated 6 days of weed control for St. Philips using 642 goats. The goats were transported to the church property on 10/25/11 and moved out on November 01, 2011. St. Philips and the Bear Cañon Cemetery own approximately 20 acres that is monitored by Colorado Open Lands for noxious weeds and new structures. In the fall the goats not only eat the remnants of weeds but aerate and fertilize the soil in preparation for emerging grasses in the spring.
