Welcome to the St. Philip-in-the-Field Episcopal Church website! We’re glad you found us and hope you will take time to learn more about our historic pioneer church and its community. We are located in Sedalia, Colorado in the beautiful Plum Creek Valley. We have two Sunday morning services held at 8:00am (Rite I) and 10:00am (Rite II) and a noon Eucharist held in the parish hall on Wednesdays. Please check our Calendar for other events and activities. Our ongoing ministries, outreach and missions are described in our News section.
The interior and exterior of the church were renovated during the months of August, September and October. We welcome the community to stop by and view our freshly painted church, repaired window frames with new panes, cleaned and oiled pews and interior walls, and new concrete work that allows for easy wheelchair access. Please click on News to read a November 14, 2017 article published by the Denver Post on the church renovation.
During the winter months Sunday services will be cancelled if 7 or more inches of snow fall overnight on Saturday. Cancellations will be posted on this page by 7:00am Sunday morning. In a significant snow event we cannot guarantee that the roads and/or church driveway will be plowed in time for services. The safety of our parishioners is our first priority.
